The following is the basic recipe for pizza dough.
These ingredients are sufficient for the standard baking pan size, and the baked pizza crust will be half centimeter thick (1/4 inch).
300 grams of wheat flour (white to integral or their mixture)
1 flat tablespoon dry yeast
1/2 tablespoon of salt
1/2 tablespoon of sugar
2 tablespoons oil
200 ml of water
Put 300 grams of flour in a mixing pan.
Add dry yeast, salt, sugar and oil.
Add the warm water and knead by hand. If you use whole grain flour, add a few more tablespoons of water, or the dough will be too thick and hard and will not rise properly.
Cover the mixing pan and put it aside for 45 minutes, then knead again – now the dough should already be fluffy.
Let stand for another 45 minutes and now the dough is fluffy and light and should be ready to be rolled out.
Roll out the dough to a size that will fit on the baking pan… prepare your pizza toppings, but that’s another recipe 🙂
