Almond breakfast “cereals”
If you use to make almond milk at home, maybe you might not have an idea what to do with the residual pulp. Except for making almond flour, it is possible to make a dry “cereal” for breakfast.
Ingredients
1,5 cup of wet almond pulp
1 cup of apple juice
6 tablespoons of date paste
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon of salt
2 cups of fresh strawberries
Preparation
Combine almond pulp, apple sauce, date paste, vanilla and salt in a mixing bowl. Mix well, and last add the chopped strawberries.
Spread the batter on the teflex sheet of your dehidrator (you can use parchment paper too). The spread should be 0,5 cm thick. Cut the spread into bite-sized pieces before dehydrating.
Dehydrate at 146 C for 8-10 hours or until dry.
Store the dry “cereals” in an airtight container in the fridge for (1-2 weeks) or in the freezer (1 month).
