Bread with hemp flour
Another variation of homemade bread this time with the addition of hemp flour. The bread is dark, juicy, aromatic and soft.
Ingredients
4 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt (can be omitted)
1 teaspoon dry yeast
2 tablespoons hemp flour
2 cups water
1 tablespoon of oat flakes and 1 teaspoon flour to sprinkle over dough
Preparation
For the preparation of this bread you need 4 cups flour, I usually mix one cup of whole wheat flour and three cups of white flour, but you can make your own combination, or use the flour of your choice.
Put all the dry ingredients in a bowl: flour, salt, dry yeast and hemp flour. Stir well.
Add 2 cups of water (at room temperature – the water should not be cold) and stir with a wooden spoon to get a uniform mixture.
Cover the pan and leave to rise in a warm place for at least an hour and a maximum of 12 hours.
When the dough is at least twice the initial size, turn on the oven to 180 C.
Cover the tray with baking paper. Using a spoon or palette transfer the dough and lightly sprinkle with oat flakes and dust with flour.
Leave the dough at room temperature 20 more minutes before putting into oven.
Bake bread about 20-30 minutes until a golden-brown crust forms.
